This is a continuation of my androgynous style of the week series.
There has always been something very appealing to me in being able to combine masculine and feminine pieces into my outfits.
I don't even know if these outfits look appealing to anyone, based on the amount of strange looks that I've gotten from my mom. However, I do love feeling comfortable in the clothes that I wear because it can give me a surge of confidence during not-so-good days at school.
Especially in Hawaii, dressing in layers is key to making sure you don't perish in the afternoon sun. Personally, I have not been a fan of thick or tight clothing while living on this island.
For the first look, I know that I look like some waiter at an Italian restaurant, but I'm digging the vibe that the collar of the white undershirt gives off peeking under the gray RVCA shirt over top. The tiger on the back of the RVCA shirt has been one of my favorites ever since I've bought it, and definitely makes a statement.
With the second look, I was inspired by old childhood photos while looking through one of my baby albums a couple weeks ago. The contrasting hues of the warm tones of the top half, and the electric blue of my corduroy shorts complement each other perfectly in this outfit. The high waist tucks in the top two layers of my outfit into a baggy silhouette that gives it the perfect '80's toddler touch.
