Music For Your Fri-YAY 10
.....MUSIC............?
\
"Music For Your Fri-YAY" is loving to listen to music because its the end of the week. Play these playlists in your car or in your humble abode over the weekend to fill your space with new and vibrant energies.
At the end of March, I started to put these songs together while waiting in my car before school started and while walking to news writing class.
At the beginning of this playlist, I felt as though the energy was very fresh and upbeat listening to these songs. As time went on, a few of my old favorite radio songs began to sneak their way into the playlist while guided by my ears and nostalgia.
For example, 'Slide' by Calvin Harris and Frank Ocean reminds me of end of the summer in 2017. Some memories of this healing time include driving around by myself for the first time, green hues in the trees during sunset, lots of McDonald's, and photo sessions with friends.
Some other songs, including 'Easy' by the Commodores and 'Lean on Me' by Bill Withers help me feel a sense of happiness because they help remind me that bad times and hard times go hand-in-hand with each other.
I feel as though I've underwent a thorough process of healing from this past summer. There's still a lingering part of me excited and hopeful for what's to come, as present in the progression songs within this of this playlist. However, at other times, I feel as though my head is going to bash in when thinking about leaving my high school life behind and going to college as a freshman in the fall of 2018.
Finally, to the two crushes that I had for the past four years in school, I have 10 words to say to you:
" 'cause after all of this time, I'm still into you." ;)

1. ARTISTS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO HIGHLIGHT IN THIS PLAYLIST are Demi Lovato, Paramore, Bruno Mars and Vampire Weekend.
All of y'all have a special place in my youthful and beating heart.

2. THE VIBES FOR THIS PLAYLIST is for glowing skin, looking and feeling like a greasy doughnut, late jam sessions in a friend's garage (with a phone to your mouth as a microphone, obvi.), and photogenic summers.
3. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PLAYLIST can be used to heal.
We heal, we grow, we prosper.
With family, with friends, with enemies.
Indulge in high school memories, crushes, and friendships through these songs because there's not much time left to remain a teenager.
