Quarter-Annual Favorites

favorites

things I've loved
this past month:

everything in between...

On YouTube, 'favorite videos' that creators put together after each month always fascinate me because I can gain a deeper insight into what they have been loving and cherishing.

Things that they deem worthy to share with their own audience.

Things that reveal more emphasis on particular objects and pieces of art in our world, and how we interact with those specific, but nevertheless, valuable object(s).

I love watching and attentively consuming the work of creatives that I've been following ever since I've put out content on this blog and on other social media platforms.

Favorites allow me to explore new albums, songs, food, and gain new insights into the lifestyle choices of other influencers. I genuinely enjoy gaining inspiration to integrate other people's favorites into my own life and creating a progressive change in my own habits.

Here's my own spin on a favorites video, in a blog post. What I've been inspired by, wearing, reading, watching, eating, etc. throughout January, February and March of 2018.

The Best Photos of 2017

Rolling Stone never fails to deliver top-notch portrait photography. Harry Styles is a stunner with his voice and outfits, and two pictures within this photo series are a testament to that.

Girl Series by LaMadelynn on YouTube

I love Casey Liu and the story of her career depicted in this video. I loved following along this series of interviews of girls sharing their own life story.

The 4 Pieces Of Advice That'll Help You Get Your $$ Right ASAP

I have been loving the simplicity and straightforward advice that GirlBoss provides to its readers. This website feels like a big sister figure to me, in blog form.

All the Way Home

I have been following Alana C Gardner on Instagram for a while, and have found her photography dreamy and perfect in capturing her own life and the suburbs around her. I love the story that she provides for her move away from Philadelphia in this blog post & learning to adjust from the life that she felt commemorated her childhood.

(more particular and recent YouTube videos I've been inspired by will be included in a future blog post)

blogs

social + north by Sarah Gray and Nadia Magano

Social + North has a beautiful design and aesthetic photos that are pleasing to the eye. When I think of this blog, I am reminded of its raw advice, simplistic layout, and California type vibes.

Song of Style by Aimee Song

Aimee Song is a great inspiration to me because of how consistent she is with putting out content for her followers to consume. Her style is elegant, mature, and jaw-dropping, I must say.

Kacee Ikeda

I've particularly been loving her blog posts and photography taken by Lawrence, her boyfriend. I completely adore the film photos and grainy style of the pictures she is styled in. Her new obsession with blazers has left me inspired to continue seeking sophisticated looks at an affordable price.

miscellaneous

using Nikon fm (SLR) lens on Nikon d3200 (DSLR);
I have been wanting a 1.4 f-stop lens but have been too broke to afford one. However, with some research online I learned that you can use all vintage Nikon lenses on modern DSLR bodies. I was actually ecstatic when I found this out this information and shot my last "How To" series with a vintage Nikon lens.
Fine Fragrance Mist - Birch & Argan

I don't know if Bath and Body Works still sells this perfume, but ever since their clearance sale at the beginning of the year, I have been loving putting this on in the morning. I love the sweet vanilla-y notes this fine mist has to offer. The back of the bottle describes the scent of having fragrance notes of birch, argan, vanilla, and rum. Usually, I'm not a fan of the extremely fruity smells that B&BW has to offer. This scent, however, contains the perfect combination of masculine and feminine elements, and I feel can compliment any person.  This is the perfect scent to wear when winter is transitioning into spring and your days need a pick-me-up.
