November Favorites
What I've loved
this past month:
this past month:
MUSIC...
On YouTube, 'favorite videos' that creators put together after each month always fascinate me because I can gain a deeper insight into what they have been loving and cherishing.
Things that they deem worthy to share with their own audience.
Things that reveal more emphasis on objects and art in our world, and how we interact with those specific, but nevertheless, valuable object(s).
I love watching and attentively consuming the work of creatives that I've been following ever since I've put out content on this blog, and on other social media platforms.

Favorites allow me to explore new albums, songs, food, and gain new insights into the lifestyle choices of other influencers. I genuinely enjoy gaining inspiration to integrate other people's favorites into my own life and creating progressive change in my own habits.
Here's my own spin on a favorites video, in a blog post. What I've been listening to on Spotify for the month of November 2017, and what I have been singing and dancing along to (with love).

music
This is a great place for finding sheet music. I have been improving with my own instrumental skills on the viola, and have found this site useful for finding/printing downloadable PDF formats of songs like 'Perfect,' by Ed Sheeran.
Rex Orange County - Apricot Princess
When I first found this album, I was going crazy because I had never experienced something so beautiful, but mesmerizing and sorrowful all in 10 songs. Alex O'Connor has the most gentle, but lived-in voice that is able to tell a story throughout every melody and ounce of heartbreak. While I find myself singing to most of these albums while listening to them time and time again, Apricot Princess is special in the fact that it is the perfect combination of alternative, rock, and indie-pop. If my singing voice could be like anyone in the world, I would probably have to say O'Connor's for his sweetness and authentic artistry.
The Cardigans - First Band On The Moon
This is an overall banger. Although Destiny's Child, Mariah Carey, and The Cranberries are both powerhouses in themselves, The Cardigans' lead singer soft, silky, and vibrant voice leads songs depicting teenage relationships, love and heartbreak can win over any listener. 'Lovefool' and 'Been It' are my favorite tunes off of First Band On The Moon.
The Lumineers - Cleopatra
'Where The Skies Are Blue,' 'Gun Song,' and 'Sleep On The Floor' are my favorite three songs off of Cleopatra. Although most people I know have heard of The Lumineers, this album is definitely underrated. Many songs feature a guitar paired with the lead singers' vocals, Wesley Schultz. Schultz's emotional, and beautifully gravelly lead voice can have you singing and crying at the most random times. Listen to this album on a cold, rainy day, getting ready in the morning, or when you need time to reflect on a time on your life. The lyrics will speak for themselves, and hopefully you will find a reflection of the melodies of Cleopatra in your own life.
dvsn - Morning After
I've just discovered these last two albums very recently within the past two weeks, but have no doubt that they will be featured in future Spotify playlists and lounging sessions in my room over the weekend. When listening to these songs while taking a chill pill or a steamy bath, sit back and relax to songs such as 'Nuh Time / Tek Time' or 'P.O.V.' The album cover is a mellow lavender purple and depicts a dreamy sunset, much like this text is written in. Think of the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen, and how beautiful your life is encapsulated in the lyrics of Morning After. Think of the clouds, be calm, and drift away in your own sea of cotton candy.
Luke Christopher - TMRWFRVR
I have to say, every single song on TMRWFRVR is absolutely amazing. There are no songs that you don't play when you listen to the album over, you just play all of them!! If you love R&B and rap, you'll definitely love listening to the 15 fire songs on this album one time through and through again. The instruments, beat, and lyrics all complement each other beautifully with Luke Christopher's sexy, smooth voice. Blast in the car, walking around in your most favorite outfit and school with headphones in, or when feeling like you wanna shake yo' body. When listening, keep your eye out for my four favorites: 'Lost,' 'Waterfalls,' 'Selfless' and 'Heartbreak Fiction.'
