REMEMBERING CHRISTINA GRIMMIE
Christina was born on March 12, 1994, but sadly passed last year on the day of June 6, 2016.
When I first had heard the news that Christina had been fatally shot at one of her concerts, I was beyond devastated. It almost felt as though my heart had sank down my stomach.
At first I couldn't believe all of the news stories popping up - this was totally unbelievable, right? After a couple minutes searching online and discovering the details behind what had happened behind the scenes, I truly could not fathom what this world had done to go against those who deserved more than an early death.
Christina has inspired so many people. However, in that sea of people I was one of her adoring fans who not only found inspiration in her music, but comfort in how she always created a family on her YouTube channel.
I had watched her videos on YouTube for about 5 years and constantly found Christina putting in hard work in music that she felt was true to her own self and music that she was proud of to produce to the world.
During the many breaks that I had during middle school, Christina always had a way of entertaining me with her wonderful, majestic, and beautiful voice. In her video, 'One Big Family,' Christina says that:
"You and me, we're like one big family So come and see, And we can climb the tallest tree."
