Androgynous Style of the Week (Part 7)

Image
for them lazy days Photos taken by me  in my bedroom with a table stacked on a chair as a tripod: ANDROGYNOUS STYLE OF THE WEEK part 7 I've discovered that dressing androgynous is the best way to express myself, and I hope that every person who reads these  Androgynous Style of the Week  posts are able to find some inspiration from seeing what I may wear on a daily basis. If you are able to purchase similar pieces at Goodwill or Savers, you can have your own staples when you want to look put-together, but don't have the time or effort to do so. With temperatures in the low 60's in the mornings, this Hawaii boy likes to bundle up with oodles and oodles of layers while he can during this holiday season. This Nike Hoops tank is the perfect ode to my elementary and middle school days. In contrast to the sleek fit of the trousers, the casual look of the top helps to keep the look balanced and ready for a day hanging out with friends. Fin...

Holiday Sleason Photoseries

A Reflection on 2017 Photos taken by my family and I Words written by myself : THOUGHTS + PHOTOGRAPHY Since the holiday season is slowly coming to an end, and 2017 is also, we remember the good and bad that embodied our year. From the experiences and spoken words of my family, friends, tweets I've read on Twitter, and numerous horoscopes I've sought out online, I feel as though we, as individuals, have gone on a journey since the fall of 2015 to the present day. Although it seems as though our journey to the other side a dark tunnel has ended, our lives have begun a new chapter by reflecting on the challenges we have been able to overcome. Crying at random times over political events; strife in the world. Hurricane Harvey, Las Vegas, Trump, Net Neutrality, terrorism and nuclear weapons. It seemed as though we were lost in the news, and allowed negative thoughts to affect who we are in our own lives. In my opinion it's totally okay to constantly update yo...

Music For Your Fri-YAY 6

Tunes for your Friday            tunes that I've been loving and new bops for you to discover: MUSIC This is a segment which I call "Music For Your Fri YAY." I love to listen to music when I'm happy, and when I'm happy it's usually Friday or the end of the week.   In this playlist, you can find a mix of new and old artists which I've rediscovered while looking through old playlists on Spotify. I've been in a funk lately, and listening to songs which remind me of my first years of high school make me think of how far I've come. Music that helped me get through 2016 helps bring back beautiful memories of sorrow, extreme joy, concerts and discovering myself with great friends; even screaming and dancing to the beat of my heart. Artists that I would like to highlight are my homeboy Kanye , Jackson Browne and Nahko . The vibes for this playlist are for cleaning, rainy days and being in a funky mood. ...

Indigo pants with a black, worn-in jean jacket helps contrast between the white of a handed down T-shirt. This outfit is very simple, but the clean fit of the trous...

Androgynous Style of the Week (Part 5)

COMFY IN TEAL AND BEIGE Photos taken by me  in my bedroom with a table stacked on a chair as a tripod: ANDROGYNOUS STYLE OF THE WEEK part 5 This is a continuation of my androgynous style of the week series. There has always been something very appealing to me in being able to combine masculine and feminine pieces into my outfits. I don't even know if these outfits look appealing to anyone, based on the amount of strange looks that I've gotten from my mom. However, I do love feeling comfortable in the clothes that I wear because it can give me a surge of confidence during not-so-good days at school. Especially in Hawaii, dressing in layers is key to making sure you don't perish in the afternoon sun. Personally, I have not been a fan of thick or tight clothing while living on this island. However, with a Hawaiian winter rolling around, this beige turtleneck jacket has the perfect cuddly fleece on its insides to keep me warm during 60 degree mornings. Paire...

Tunes here; new bops to discover Music for my followers: This is a segment which I call "Music For Your Fri YAY." I love to listen to music when I'm happy, and when I'm happy it's usually Friday or the end of the week.   This playlist is for when you're in a funk and you need some music to listen to with an energetic, but simple beat. I used to try meticulously to make every song fit within one genre of music perfectly. N ow I just do whatever, and if it sounds good, I'll put in a playlist! Incorporating all sorts of genres is how I try to make sure everyone is able to find a song that fits within their favorite category of music. Some artists featured here include The Head and the Heart, Third...
